Kingdom of Kir’Andar

Kir Andar is a small kingdom ruled over by Syllandra, it is surrounded by mountains on all sides. It has a river that runs thru the valley. The capital city is Pashar.

Rumors of Kir’Andar – dwarves mining for magical items in the north, giants had an ancient civilization in the northern regions (giants were not the monsters of today, more like gigantic humans).

The Hidden Hand – a ‘secret’ organization that is fairly well known. Charged with protecting the kingdom under the cover of darkness. Anyone can be a member – from farmer to high official.

Syllandra – (f) angelic wings, marble white skin, platinum blonde hair, she glows like the sun with goodness. Queen of Kir’Andar – also known as “The Immortal Empress”, she is worshiped as the primary deity of the region…. Her credo ‘unity through tolerance’. Her symbol is three interlocking circles.

Pahar – the capital city of Kir’Andar, it is located in the middle of Korshyk River.

Our First Assignment: Hired by Syllandra herself to see why caravans have gone missing along a trade route up north. It is disrupting trade and could have serious repercussions. We are to travel to the city of High Falls and talk to a man named Bishop. We are given medallions – on the front is Syllandra’s symbol, on the back is a hidden symbol. The symbol is that of The Hidden Hand. We are also given a means to carry messages back to her in a short period of time.

So Far:

One night at dusk we were camping with some local fishermen when we were attacked by small lizard men. They didn’t kill their opponents merely put them to sleep… after a short battle we negotiated a pact with them. They are in need of goods and services “shineys” and in return they are excellent fishermen… so they supply much fish. After dealing with them we were told they are ‘Poison Dusk Lizard Folk’.

With only little more trouble we arrived at High Falls.

High Falls – a city placed at the top and bottom of a steep cliff. It gains its name from the gigantic water fall next to the city. This is the last ‘civilized’ city in the northern reach. The city has an elaborate pulley system to bring goods up and down the cliff. They also offer travel by hippogriff and a winding trail up the cliff side. All for a fee of course.

Bishop – (m) human cleric of Syllandra, member of ‘the hidden hand’. Military demeanor, grizzled older man… wears his shield on his back even in the temple.

What we learned: the caravan rte btw High Fall and Larson has been losing entire caravans. Sometimes they find bodies but the carts are always taken, as is the cargo. The ambush spot is ½ way between the two cities. Larson is 12 hours away walking or 6-8 riding. Bishop told us we should get in touch with Danver Thales a male dwarf magician. We were sent to meet up with a caravan already along the way.

We came across the caravan being attacked by small white Kolbolds… and a small white dragon. We could only save 4 people… all of which are currently unconscious.

Gear: 4 small spears; 4 alchemist frosts; wand of inflict light wounds CL 5 Chg 10.
